The beginnings of rhythm Rhythm is a way to tell how fast the
notes should be played. We do this by counting BEATS. Listen to a drum
play four equal BEATS.

MEASURE is a regular grouping of beats (two, three, four or more).
A BAR LINE divides one measure from the next.
